Cameron Kleiman

Hi guys! I’m Cameron K, and this is my second year as your captain. I’m going to be a junior this year, and I am super excited for this season! My duties on the captain team typically entail sending email to parents, sending out Remind messages (with map links!), and maintaining this website (unrelated, but also this one 😀). I’m a big fan of Remind. Also, I preemptively apologize for that 2 a.m. Remind message I know you’re going to get because I forgot to send it earlier. It’s probably more like 3 messages because of the 140 character limit ❔. Sorry. I’ve been running since 3rd grade, when I trained for the Cap 10K with my mom. My dad founded the Cross Country program at my old school, and I started running XC in 5th grade. You could say running runs in the family, pun intended. I love running for a few reasons. First, it’s an effort based sport: what you put into it is what you get out. There’s not much sheer talent involved. Second, anyone can run as a way to get in shape, hang out with friends, or compete. Finally, running just feels awesome. As for school, I like math and computers, I know, real original. If I had one thing to tell the incoming runners, it’d be to get excited! Cross country can be an insanely fun sport and it’s your excitement that makes that happen. I can’t wait to meet you guys; it’s going to be a great year.
